## Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) – Updated Consent & Attestation Flow
We’d like to inform you about an important update to the Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) consent process that affects how new customers are created and onboarded in C3.

Microsoft has introduced a revised MCA attestation flow. As a result, agreement acceptance is no longer completed automatically during tenant creation. Instead, customers must complete attestation first, followed by agreement creation, using guided steps in C3.

### What’s Changing

The updated MCA process applies to all customer onboarding methods:

* Single customer creation (Link Tenant)
* Public signup

To support this change, C3 now provides clear instructions, guided actions, and status visibility to help you complete MCA efficiently.

#### Single Customer Creation

* The T&C checkbox has been replaced with on-screen instructions.
* Customers are created immediately, but MCA remains **pending** until completed from the customer profile.

#### Public Signup
* Clear instructions are displayed after purchase.
* You can:
    * Complete MCA immediately and resume onboarding, or
    * Skip MCA and complete it later from the customer profile

#### Customer Profile – MCA Completion

From **Customer → Profile → Microsoft**, you can:

* Generate attestation links
* Send attestation emails to customers
* Refresh attestation status
* Preview MCA documents
* Create the agreement once attestation is accepted

#### What Partners Need to Do

* Ensure MCA attestation is completed for new customers before proceeding with Microsoft subscriptions.
* Use the provided attestation links and resume options to finalize customer onboarding.
* Monitor MCA status from the Customer Profile to avoid delays in agreement creation.

#### Why This Matters

* Ensures compliance with Microsoft’s updated MCA requirements
* Improves visibility into attestation and agreement status
* Prevents onboarding delays caused by incomplete consent
* Provides a guided, consistent experience across all onboarding flows
